The Goods in Transit policy covers loss of, destruction of, or damage to goods caused by fire, theft or accidental means whilst they are in transit by road or rail  - from the time of leaving the insured’s premises to final delivery or whilst temporarily housed in the ordinary course of transit within the territorial limits.
